They are also the authors of over 30 books including Shaken Not Stirred: A Celebration of the Martini® and Spirituous Journey: A History of Drink, Book One which won the 2009 Gourmand World Cook Book award for Best Drink History in the UK.

Together they were co-founders of the Museum of the American Cocktail and directors of Exposition Universelle des Vins et Spiritueux, overseeing the restoration of one of the world's largest collections of wine and spirits and the development of its web site.
